Rally to Oppose Arizona’s SB1070 & Support Immigrant Rights

Date:
07/29/2010 - 12:00pm
Location:
Wayne Morse Federal Courthouse 405 East 8th Avenue, Eugene

The National Day of Action against Arizona’s SB1070

ACLU is a lead organization in one of the lawsuits opposing Arizona racial profiling law and is asking a federal judge to stop it from going into effect on July 29, 2010. Join us for the National Day of Action and let Arizona know that Oregon rejects racial profiling and supports the rights of immigrants in our state!

The rally will feature music and  local speakers--including Eugene’s Mayor Kitty Piercy and Claire Syrett, our Field Organizer. Bring your banners, signs and friends to the Federal Court house and take a stand for justice.
