Youth Resistance Book Club

October 21, 2017 (All day)
March 9, 2018 (All day)

Calling all high school and undergraduate students (i.e., college students up to 25 years of age).

Attend a book club featuring a reading list that explores the narrative around what it means to be a member of a marginalized community in today’s America. During three of the listening sessions, facilitators and participants will listen, learn, and converse about their experiences and the work of selected thought leaders. The Resistance Book Club will be an opportunity for students to gather in solidarity to learn, reflect, and share their experiences. Participants will also receive a heavily discounted ticket to the Liberty Dinner featuring Angela Davis as the keynote speaker. The cost is $25 and scholarships are available.

To receive the application or ask questions, contact Shelly Hunter at shunter@aclu-or.org. Applications are due Tuesday, October 17, 5 p.m.
