Today we released new digital ads in English and Spanish featuring immigrant Oregonians. They shared this powerful message about voting NO on Measure 105: "We all come from different places, but we are united by our values. We will not be divided."

Vote NO on Measure 105 by November 6.

Pledge to vote NO on Measure 105

What is Measure 105?
Measure 105 would throw out an Oregon law that protects people from racial profiling. The law prohibits police from targeting people based solely on the color of their skin, their accent, or their perceived immigration status.

What’s the history of the law that Measure 105 would repeal?
What is now often referred to as Oregon's "sanctuary law" is 31 years old. It passed with support of Republicans and Democrats to keep Oregon police focused on local issues and to protect the civil rights of all Oregonians, including immigrant Oregonians.

Why is the ACLU of Oregon involved in the campaign to defeat Measure 105?
We take positions on ballot measures that affect civil liberties and civil rights. If Measure 105 passes, Oregon could become a "show me your papers" state where people are stopped, detained, and interrogated based soley on the color of their skin or their accent. This could lead to widespread racial profiling and civil rights violations. We must not allow President Trump's cruel immigration policies to tear apart Oregon families.

How can I get involved?
The ACLU of Oregon has temporary field offices in Portland and Eugene where volunteers are needed every day until Election Day! Check out our People Power map for an event near you or sign up here to get involved. You can also visit the NO on Measure 105 campaign site, Oregonians United Against Profiling.
