Celebrate Pride month with us at a special screening of Ma Vie En Rose at the Hollywood Theatre!

Alain Berliner’s debut film blurs the lines between reality and fantasy in telling the story of a community’s attempt to erase the identity of a young transgender girl. Ludovic is young, earnest, and quite clear that she is a girl who wants to marry the boy next door. Bewildered when her declarations are met with confusion, at first, and later with outright hostility, she faces a community grappling with notions of gender and sexuality.

The ACLU of Oregon will present a post-screening panel and talkback exploring our society’s ongoing refusal to provide transgender people with equal protections.
