Oregon Legislative Session Report 2025

During the 2025 Oregon legislative session, our team and community fought with passion and deep conviction to protect students, teachers, and librarians in our public schools from discriminatory book bans and censorship.

We also worked tirelessly to protect Oregonians from warrentless drone surveillance by police.

We have so much to celebrate as the session closes and we have deep gratitude for our community, coalition partners, and everyone who advocated alongside us to create a more just, equitable, and caring Oregon.

In this report, we detail ACLU of Oregon's policy priorities and victories, defensive priorities, our work with some of Oregon's legislators and our community, and our thoughts on the work ahead.
