You have the right to vote free from intimidation, threats, or harassment. If you are concerned about encountering illegal or troubling behavior when going to cast your ballot, here are some suggested practices that may help avoid issues:

1. Drop off your ballot early and during daylight hours, if you are able.
2. Use official drive-up drop-off locations and stay in your vehicle, if you are able.
3. Consider using the buddy system and go with another person or group of people to drop off your ballot.
4. Avoid engaging with people near ballot boxes who may be trying to intimidate or harass voters.
5. If you see something, document it and report it if you are able to do so safely. You can report voter intimidation, harassment, or interference of any kind to the Election Protection hotline at 866ourvote.org/state/oregon/ or call 866-687-8683, or at the Secretary of State website.
6. Remember, you have a right to record law enforcement performing their duties in public, including federal officers like ICE.
