Letters to the Editor

Thank you for your interest in supporting the ACLU of Oregon through submitting Letters to the Editor!

Letters to the Editor are a powerful method to influence public narrative, media and decision makers on key issue areas that impact your community. They are also an easy and quick way to make an impact, just from your computer! By submitting this form, you consent to being contacted by the ACLU of Oregon as opportunities arise:

  • ACLU of Oregon will email you when there is a need for LTEs to be submitted.
  • Once you reply with availability to submit a letter (via email), we will provide you with a template that you can use or revise as you’d like, including adapting it to reflect your personal experience.
  • You will submit your LTE via email and include your first and last name, email address, address and phone number. (Only your first and last name and city of residence will be published, the rest is for verification purposes.)
  • We will notify you if we see your letter published and we will likely share it on our social media channels!

Let’s make your voice - advocating for a more just, equitable and caring Oregon - heard!

Sign up and submit your info here!

If you would prefer to draft your own Letter to the Editor, please email us at info@aclu-or.org
