Portland, ORE. — Grifols USA, LLC, Biomat USA, LLC ("Biomat") and ACLU of Oregon, Shenoa Payne Attorney at Law, PC, Beacon Employment Law, and Keller Rohrback, LLP ("Class Counsel") announced today that the Multnomah County Circuit Court has granted final approval for a class action settlement voluntarily reached related to previously filed litigation, Cavanaugh v. Grifols USA et al, Multnomah County Case Number 24CV34491 (the "Lawsuit"). The class claimed a violation of their rights under the Oregon Public Accommodations Act.
The attorneys for the Class and the Class Representative have expressed their satisfaction that the resolution is "fair and reasonable" and addresses the class's concerns raised in the Lawsuit and the claims asserted therein.
Defendants Grifols and Biomat do not admit any wrongdoing. Grifols and Biomat are concerned first and foremost with the safety and well-being of their donors, their products, and their patients, and do not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.
