Melissa comes to the ACLU with a background in fundraising at several Portland nonprofits and finds her passion for Development not in dollar signs, but in building strong relationships with donors. She will lead the Development team at ACLU from a place of empathy, social justice, and passion for including everyone in the fundraising process. Her Master’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Oregon State University helps her look at fundraising through a community-centric lens. In moments of rest and rejuvenation, she writes a blog, goes on adventures with her partner and two young boys, and dances with friends at concerts.
